The Threat of God's Love
September 13, 2000. A date that will live in infamy. This is the date of the Second Impact, when a 4-inch meteor moving at nearly light speed crashed into Antarctica, nearly obliterating the continent. The resulting shockwave set off earthquakes and tsunamis around the world, killing more than two billion people in the first 24 hours alone, and millions more were displaced. In the wake of the chaos, the world began to collapse into wars which raged for 5 months, killing millions more before the United Nations was able to intervene.
Fifteen years have passed since Second Impact. The world has stabilized, and reconstruction has begun. The United Nations has been instrumental in preventing the world from collapsing completely, and have spearheaded the recovery.
